The Fersfield School of Healing has offered Healer training and development for many years in the UK following recognised national guidelines, standards and practices.
Healer training consists of 2 years practical training which includes a Foundation Course (6 workshop sessions). The Foundation Course is a certificated course and is held during the day on a monthly basis; the Foundation Course workshops are open to those interested in furthering their personal development, as well as those who wish to become registered healers. The practical healing sessions are held twice a month (Wednesday evenings) and are also open to members of the public who wish to receive healing, or are interested in training as a healer.
During the two-year probationer training period, probationer healers are expected to keep a journal and be willing to undertake regular supervised practical work at the bi-monthly healer sessions, as well as continue their development by attending relevant workshops and courses offered during their training period.
At the end of the probationary period, probationers who have successfully completed the Foundation Course and the practical sessions will, during their final three months, work with four patients: submitting case studies as well as their journal for assessment. Their final assessment is of a practical nature and is undertaken by two registered healers of the Fellowship.
Whilst the Healer Training course is hard work; it is also very enjoyable, very rewarding and a place to make new like-minded friends.
Ever since I can remember I have wanted to be a healer, but apart from attending a few Spiritualist church services did nothing about it until 2007, when I was taken along to the Fersfield Healing Group by a friend (Jan Waters). I quickly made friends with everybody there and never looked back. I finally became a registered healer in June this year. Undertaking this, as part of my journey through life, has been very rewarding; not just giving and receiving healing, but also the friendships I have made during my journey. I look forward to being part of TIHF for many years. I would like to take a moment here to thank everybody at the healing group, especially Margaret, for their support.
