25 April 2009
Rose and Crown, Stanton
Margaret began the morning by introducing herself and giving a brief history of how the Fellowship began. She went on to acknowledge and thank all the people who believed in her idea and helped her establish the Association: Anna Saul, Ken Ashton, Lyleen Musgrave-Brown and Paul Lambillion. It was then the turn of the rest of the Committee to introduce themselves.
Paul talked about how he spent most of his time working abroad, namely in Switzerland, Germany and Austria and that the Fellowship was an ideal organization for them to become members so that they would have a sense of connection with other healers. Over the past year, healing groups have begun and are flourishing; Paul monitors them during his time there.
Tracy, who is the editor of the Healing Herald, spoke about how she began healing through talking to the man, Martin, who repaired her TV and who happened to be a healer and brought her along to Margaret's healing group. Tracy urged everyone to make a contribution to the HH as it was their magazine, and their stories and articles would make it more interesting for everyone to read.
Ray, who is Minute Secretary, had talked Tracy into creating a magazine in the first place because she is a whiz on the PC.
Jan, who was the first Committee member and who also attends the meetings of the Friendly Group with Margaret. Jan also remembered her first meetings with the fellowship.

After a break, everyone moved into small groups for healing and meditation until lunchtime. As you can imagine, by the end of the morning, the room was buzzing and so were we. A buffet lunch was served which was delightful and since the weather was lovely, there was an opportunity to spend time in the gardens chatting and relaxing.
After lunch, Paul talked about the changes that are occurring today and how they affect our daily lives and he suggested that by being more attuned and practicing meditation regularly, we may deal with our lives more effectively than perhaps we do now.
Margaret gave us an introduction to Astrology, and how it can be used effectively to understand ourselves more fully. She helped us to create our own chart by filling in a divided circle with personal signs and planets.
Finally, Claire, another member of TIHF, took us on an Shamanic journey where we joined the 'upper world' so that we could ask for guidance on any matter. When it was over, we were encouraged to write our journeys down and share them with the group.
By this time it was 5 o'clock and time to leave, having made new friends and caught up with old ones. Thirty members attended the day and thirty-five members attended the evening.
The evening was just as enjoyable as the day, and again an opportunity for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves, as well as meet new people and old friends. Once more, the buffet supper was superb and the food disappeared very rapidly as a result.
The DJ was entertaining and chose music to suit all tastes including Ghost Busters, Spirit in the Sky, and not forgetting The Oldest Swinger in Town. During supper time, we were entertained by a young member Selva, a violinist, who with her boyfriend, Ollie, a guitarist, played folk music. Sadly, they only played for just over half and hour even though we would all have loved to hear more. Maybe next time?
My thanks to Claire for giving her time and expertise on the Shamanic Journey; it was great. I think I can say from us all a big thank you to the Rose and Crown for providing a beautiful venue, wonderful service, amazing food and a great DJ.
Thank you to all of you who joined us and especially to those who came not only for the day but the evening as well. It's amazing what stamina healing gives us! A big thank you to those who so generously donated to the TIHF bucket; together you raised £115. And finally, my thanks and appreciation to all the Committee who worked so hard to make our Get Together such a success.
